Yahoo! Congratulations to Shannon! Thanks to everyone for entering- I loved reading all your sentences, although I don’t think I’m coming to any of your houses for dinner any time soon.
And if you haven’t read The Pericles Commission yet, you should- it’s entertainment AND history! Seriously, what could be better than that?
Nothing!
Have a great day, everyone!
Ahhh! Congratulations to Shannon! On the (likely) chance that I would not win, I ordered the book today, so I can't be TOO disappointed 🙂 You always have the best giveaways Stephanie!
Congrats, Shannon!
History is always entertaining! (Actually recent history is boring….to me… but I like anything 19th century and backwards! Particularly ancient history)
Congratulations Shannon!
I'm especially pleased because I recall your year 7 lad likes ancient history!
A big thank you to everyone for playing. Your support has been marvelous.
And a big, Big, BIG, HUGE thank you to Stephanie for being the best support any debut author could have! Seriously, we'll all be playing this game for her one day.
Yay! I love it when people I "know" win stuff!
Congrats to Shannon & Gary, and thanks Stephanie for hosting such a great contest!
Dang it! I mean, congratulations Shannon! Luckily, I just got word that Gary's book has just come into the store I ordered it from. Here's hoping they ordered a bunch for the shelves too!
I am SO happy I won! Gary is right – both my boys LOVE Ancient history and mythology. I'm sure we'll have to battle to see who gets to read it first! Thank you to both of you, Stephanie and Gary!! Woo-hoo! 🙂
Hey Shannon!
Mum should win the battle on who gets to read first. It's almost entirely child friendly, but not 100%. There are a couple of scenes where parental editing might be desirable.
Basically, whenever Euterpe walks on stage, all the guys get a little bit…er…excited. I'm okay with my year 6 daughter reading it; she's very matter-of-fact on the facts of life.
Yay, Shannon! Such a cool contest. Thanks Gary and Stephanie for the fun.
Congrats Shannon.
…..dhole
The scenes with Euterpe are pretty darn funny, at least for an adult audience. I loved reading the author notes to find out what was based off actual history.
Thanks again to everyone who entered! This was a really fun contest!
Congrats to Shannon. And thanks for the book recommendation!
