Blogging is not high on my to-do list these days.
I love the community of writers and wish I had more time to blog, but I’m getting ready to take a group of students to Washington D.C. next week and am slated to finish my current WIP by the end of the month if I keep up my current pace of 1,000 words a day.
After a long day at work I come home, play with my daughter, hang out with my husband, go to the gym, research my WIP, and write my 1,000 words.
And collapse into bed to do it all again the next day.
This April A-Z challenge is a great way to meet new bloggers (Hi new followers!) and I’m doing my darndest to keep up with it. Feel free to smuck me upside the head if I fall behind.
What about you? Where does blogging fall on your to-do list?
Love the new look of the blog!
(But I am one of those crazy people who love black backgrounds…)
For me, I try hard to blog twice a week, kind of like a debt of honor to myself. But it is hard when you are working and trying to write a book, too!
Have fun in Washington DC.

Blogging is part of my pre-writing. It's when I first sit down to the computer. I check my blog comments, check the blogs I follow, figure out if my scheduled posting is in order, then I get to writing.
Of course with this A-Z challenge, I spent more time getting my posts together than on my w.i.p. (which is sad).
My life is also in the crazy chaos level so I didn't sign on for the challenge. Blogging is fun, but there are a lot of things that come first! 🙂
It is on a higher place than it used to be. I am finding it useful as an outlet and place to share things with my followers.
I am hoping to get picked up to write for some star wars fan sites because it is truly fun to write about that stuff.
Right now I am trying to post something non A to Z everyday

I hope you have a great time in D.C. and I'm awed by you writing 1,000 a day and doing all the rest, too. I'm trying to put my WIP ahead of blogging these days, but still get out there when I can.
Blogging is hard when there's a million others things that need to be done. This A to Z thing will be a definite challenge for me, personally.
Enjoyed your B post!
So far so good in this Challenge – but it's only the second day! I'm not sure how long I can keep up, but will certainly try.
Blogging was supposed to be 'if I have time', sort of thing, but I found myself giving quite a lot of time to it now.
Have fun in D.C, and we look forward to your next letter.

Hi Stephanie
Thanks for your visit to my blog, and for following. Loved both your A and B posts. I'm newish to blogging and it can certainly take up a lot of time, but living in a very isolated place, I love the 'community' aspect of it. BTW, I am also fascinated by HatShepSut – it's some years since I've been to her Temple, but she was one impressive lady 🙂
All best
Karla
Hi Stephanie,
Blogging is new for me, so I'm still exploring and having fun. After the challenge I'll probably go back to posting three times a week, though. I've noticed a significant drop in time spent on my revision by doing the challenge. Ah, well, there's always tomorrow…
Nice to meet you.
Hope you have fun in D.C.! 🙂
Lately I've been cutting back on my blogging, since other things have to take priority–but now that the Challenge has started, I try to give myself as much time as I can during the day to comment/follow/keep up.
My goal was to blog once a week but my life is so boring. I have a hard time coming up with interesting ideas.
