So I’m a little late to the party (as in the keg is empty and the DJ’s are packing up), but I started an account at Goodreads. I predict many lost hours as I search for every book on my shelves, plus all the ones I read in school or have since given away. It’s kind of neat to see what people are reading- find my book kindred spirits.
Here’s my Goodreads Stuff. I just finished Stephen Markley’s Publish This Book!, but there’s more to come on that later. Unique doesn’t even begin to describe Markley’s quasi-memoir.
I’m now on Twitter. I’m not expecting to become a huge Tweeter (look at me use Twitter lingo! Probably incorrectly!), but I suspect it has its benefits, despite being another time suck.
So here I am on Twitter. I have no idea what I’m doing, but that’s okay!
Ohhh. I was just wondering to myself if I should be doing something with GoodReads. I don't have an account, and never really felt like I needed one– but it seems like as an aspiring author this is some kind of networking must? I do check out profiles once in a while there, but just… I don't know. Is it worth it?
also, Welcome to Twitter! I hope you enjoy it 🙂
Amalia- I know I'm going to enjoy Goodreads more than Twitter. I just don't have much time- I'm already spread thin. But looking at books? That I can handle!
Oh good, I'll go follow you. And I haven't started a Goodreads account either, so you aren't the latest one to the party 🙂
You will be good and addicted in no time.
Jessie- Goodreads is pretty fun! Of course, I like check lists and books so it's right up my alley.
Jade- I almost hope not!
Welcome to Twitter. I have yet to join Goodreads. Time is an element as well.
Hello Stephanie! Thank you for meandering over to my blog and for the good luck wishes. 🙂
I must check out Good Reads, haven't done it yet but know it will be my sort of hang out. Twitter can be fun – I am there (@jayneferst) but not having much time to go on it at the mo!
It's so hard to keep up with everything. I've had a Goodreads account for a while but I let it go dormant. I'm trying to fix that. And I do jump in and try tweeting every once in awhile, but I'm more twit than tweeter. 🙂
I haven't ventured into Goodreads territory yet. It's hard to find any more time 🙂
I've now followed you on Twitter – welcome to the wacky Twitterverse!
I've been twiddling my thumbs waiting for you to get with program… sheesh what took you so long?!! 😀
Cool:)Goodreads is awesome, not just to meet people, but also to really track all you've been reading:)
I just found you on Goodreads and Twitter!
I'm not on Twitter. Tell me how your experince goes! I hope you enjoy it!
