Yesterday I started my second book.
*cue evil laughter*
It’s kind of intimidating to be back on page 1, but I think it’s going to be good!

You forgot the lightning bolts, Stephanie 😉
It's exciting to start a new story though too, isn't it?
Congratulations! I'm excited for you! Starting my second book was something of a rush. Everything seemed to accelerate a little bit, as I went.
What's the genre?
I got a real buzz out of starting – and finishing – my second book. Once the first one was done, I thought to myself "I can do this"!!! What a sense of accomplishment, and how exciting to have a new start.
Do you have a solid outline, or do you do that? Some writers do, some don't. I tend to have a brief, vague sketch of what the book will be about and then I discover along the way all the twists and turns of the story.
Writing can be such a blast when you're motivated 🙂
Good luck with it! Cheers, Jill

Matt- I can't believe I forgot the lightening bolts!
CRASH! BOOM! BANG!
Amalia- I know what you mean- all these story ideas keep hitting me. Ow!
It's historical fiction- more ancient Egypt, but this time set in the Old Kingdom, a few dynasties after the pyramids were built.
YAY!!! Glad to hear it 🙂
Sounds exciting too… keep up updated on your progress!
Also: nothing like a new book to keep temptation to work on your first one out of your mind, huh?
That was supposed to be "keep US updated" … grrr brain….
Congrats! Very exciting!
Both good and bad… there's a freshness to starting anew, but then something daunting too, b/c there's that long winding road in front of you w/ all those unseen twists, turns, and potholes 🙂
Best of luck with the next Stephanie!
We all begin by staring at the same blank page.
